I am honored and blessed to be a part of Our Lady of Grace Catholic School (OLGCS). After attending 12 years of Catholic Schools myself, I went on to receive my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University and Master’s degree in Administration and Educational Leadership from Ball State University. I have taught for the Archdiocese of Indianapolis for 4 years, then in the Brownsburg public schools for 5 years, back with the Archdiocese of Indianapolis as a mentor teacher, master teacher, assistant principal for 9 years and principal for 6 years. I believe OLGCS provides a faith-filled environment where students can thrive in their Catholic faith and academic success. My vision is to continue to foster these goals and provide our students with a superior education and caring atmosphere that will be a vital part of their growth into strong Catholic servant leaders. OLGCS has a great sense of community and rigor in the educational expectations and I am excited to lead this amazing staff.
My Family: Husband, Bryan; sons Hunter, Dakota and Austin; daughter Caroline; and a German Short-Haired Pointer dog named Zeus.
My Favorite Scripture Passage is from Romans 14:17, “For the kingdom of God is not food and drink but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” As Paul wrote, the banquet you are called to is not literally a meal and you cannot create this peace and joy. But we can discover it and experience it in our families, friends, and co-workers. In the happiness we share with one another, we can recognize that the peace and joy of the banquet are a reality we experience. The Kingdom of God is among you – Luke 17:21.
Confirmation Name: Grace Anne is my Confirmation name. I selected this name as it was my Great Aunt’s name. My family thought I was full of Grace.
One memory about church growing up: My most memorable moment growing up in church was the feeling that you knew everyone around you in the pews. I grew up attending St. Matthew Catholic Church in Indianapolis from 1st grade to 8th grade. I remember as a very young child sitting in mass between prayers and naming the people around me. It felt like I knew everyone and everyone knew me. I didn’t have any extended family living in Indianapolis, but I always felt like I had a huge family in church.
