Full-Time Preschool Aide - IMMEDIATE OPENING

Our Lady of Grace Catholic School is seeking a preschool aide for our 3-year-old Beginners class. Hours are Monday-Friday from 7:45 a.m. - 3 p.m. As a teacher assistant, you will ignite a love of learning while building foundations of our mission as a Catholic school. The assistant will work collaboratively with the lead teacher, Mrs. Amy Prather, working hands-on with the children and supervising their learning targets and play-based activities.

This position is responsible for serving as a Resource Teacher assisting students in grades Preschool -5th

Annual Term: August 5 through June 30 (190 contracted days) Weekly Hours are 7:30-3:30

Education/Experience:

●   Bachelor’s Degree or working towards certification in literacy interventions

●   Current certification in CPR/First Aid

●   Practicing Catholic in good standings and ability to uphold Catholic Social Teachings

●   Able to pass and maintain Diocesan child safety protocols

Essential Duties:

• Meet with teachers to review all learning plans the day before school starts with resource team members present. 

• Understand student Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and Alternative Learning Plans (ALPs) specifically goals and accommodations
• Work directly with teachers and the students to provide the appropriate services and accommodations. 

• Support students in the classroom, and/or small groups outside of the classroom using appropriate remediation like Orton-Gillingham. 

• Work collaboratively with ENL Teacher, who implements Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) for students who are not proficient in English or who haven’t passed WIDA assessment. 

• Communicate with parents on a regular basis about each child’s progress. 

• Collaborate with Instructional Assistants in K-2 along with support staff from Noblesville Schools.

• Use best practices to help special education students progress with their ISP goals.

• Implement progress monitoring strategies such as data collection, progress reports, and quarterly assessments. Data includes academic progress: Leveled readers, quarterly assessments to measure reading fluency, comprehension. Quick Phonics Screener to help identify needs. It can also include progress with sight words, math facts, and written expression. 

• Work collaboratively with Noblesville Resource staff that are assigned to OLG. Case Conference liaisons who write the ISPs. ISP’s include appropriate goals, student observations, and teacher input. 

• Serve as contact person between families, teachers, and Noblesville team when we see the need for students to be evaluated through Noblesville using the pre-referral process and form provided.

• Meet with resource staff and other assistants in the building for PLCs, guided by the assistant principal monthly addressing student concerns and best practices.

5th Grade Teacher, Full-Time - IMMEDIATE OPENING

The successful candidate is responsible for planning personalized curriculum, and providing and maintaining an orderly classroom environment.
